addie and peter visited us in korea! (more pics to come)

in the 2 weeks they visited, we got ourselves into some weird, amazing predicaments...

(1) lots of dancing, lots of karaoke-ing, lots of hootin 'n hollerin'.

(2) hiked up seongingbong mountain. there was this freaky cat close to the top that followed us. it wouldn't leave peter alone. but we made it...up and down.

(3) a rough ferry ride to ulleungdo...2 1/2 hours of listening to an entire boat-full of people puking while watching obnoxious korean tv shows blaring on the big screen. well worth it though. ulleungdo was quite the island.

(4) zachary, jade and addie made their acting debut in super-duper-low-budget videos to help underprivileged students of jeju island learn english. unfortunately, whoever will be using these videos to learn anything will probably learn nothing because the whole project was a mess. some dialogue-snippets vs. what really went on...

my name is james jamison (says jade. she tried to change it to a girl's name. denied.)

(5) peter got yelled at by a korean ajumma. he wore this shirt that had a picture of a bearded man. with his beard and his bearded-man-tshirt, we think it was too much beard for the lady to handle.

(6) we saw a girl hanging from a window...about 8 stories up. people from the floor below caught her and brought her into their balcony. she was ok.

(7) an old korean man confessed his love to addie and then recited the gettysburg address to her.

(8) on our island getaway, we ran into the sleezy, little man that filmed the english videos! we were on a mountain top, enjoying the view AND watching videos of ourselves from the week before. very weird.

(9) peter left his wallet on the bus. in seoul or chicago?...gone for good. but because we were on an island known for not having thieves, it was found 5 minutes later and hand-delivered to him as soon as we got off the bus, back into town.

it was so good to have peter and addie here. we wish it didn't end...we were really missing family. and now, we miss you even more.
