one year ago this day, arrow was born. i think about that day a lot. how it was my proudest moment, seeing arrow in our arms and knowing that we would wake up every day and have this awesome kid by our side. being parents has been such a gift. what a year it's been.

thank you, arrow...for keeping us on our toes, making every day a new day, and filling our lives with an enormous amount of love. i am so proud of you...all the growing up you've done and continue to do.

arrow walked with the stroller for awhile...

...until he noticed the fire truck.

he cleaned the hood...

cleaned the trunk...

pushed it around...

...and checked the front wheel even when it got stuck.

he played with dirt...

ate a few sticks...

took a long nap with what, he thought, was me.

and woke up just in time for some birthday cake!

no one seemed thrilled to be wearing this hat.

i made these poof balls for the party, but when i tried to hang them up, they were weighing the tree branches down. also, time was a'ticking and more important things needed to be done, so i just threw them in the yard. we had fun with them the next day. arrow enjoyed hugging them and smooshing them with his hands.
