we have a crew of amazing AMAZING friends in korea!

we were invited to a BBQ for what we thought was to celebrate flan's new job. we walked up on the roof and had no idea what was going on when our friends screamed "surprise!!!!!". it was a surprise-rooftop-BBQ-baby-shower! zachary and i stood there for about 5 minutes, still not sure what was going on.

i saw everyone staring at us, saw the cake, and almost started to cry (my first response, as usual). but thankfully, aaron was there to stuff my face with his homemade brownies, which gave me a sec to take it all in.

zachary and i were in complete shock the entire night, which also lasted for the next few days. it was one of the most thoughtful things anyone's done for us!

thank you to all our friends! for the beautiful party, the delicious food, all the thoughtful gifts, and being here for us and baby. we're truly truly grateful.

36 weeks.

our friend, agnieszka, went home to canada and came back with a suitcase and a half of baby clothes that her mom's been buying & collecting for us! we were touched that a mom-whom we've never even met-has been thinking so much of us and baby.

(this is only the tip of the iceberg. a suitcase and a half, i tell you).

i've been inspired to cook a lot now that fresh herbs are back in season and....we have a mini oven. amazing!

zachary's korean co-teacher had her last day of school last week. she's pregnant and is due very soon! it's been fun being pregnant together, and i'm excited to meet her son.

she handmade this baby bib for us. i can't get over how cute it is!

the dogs' owner was sporting a whole lot of leather while doing some stretches.

we knitted/crocheted, made korean flash cards and snacked on homemade oatmeal cookies. enjoying the mountain air.

had a relaxing sunday hiking up namsan. the squirrel that i am wanted to spend the day collecting pine cones.
