a saturday after haegum class, we got to see some traditional music and dance performances. i didn't have my camera, but our haegum buddy, mark, had his and kindly took some photo requests.
the amazing pom pom hat was my first request...
...fellas with some extra-shaggy overalls was my second.
together, these guys made a dancing dragon/dog (still debatable). i felt bad for guy #2. he had to be the hind legs.
thank you, mark for the excellent photos!

while zipping in a cab, we saw this place from afar, on our way to our bukansan hike a few weeks back. it looked like my idea of heaven, and it kind of was, except for the high prices.
the pizza was delicious. and the place was so cute.
love when korean restaurants tie a napkin-bandana on bottles.
getting a small taste of the philippines. can't wait for november!

this is where the king prayed when he chose to make seoul the capital.
the entrance to the temple.
ajummas bagging up there dried peppers.
further along the fake river.
the buildings may have been old, but they sure felt more homey than the sad high rise buildings carbon copied throughout seoul. i was digging this neighborhood.
