to sum up that building in one word. i, too, would've gone with "thug".
perfect weather. perfect clouds.
arrow and i watched zachary play basketball while the clouds got more and more spectacular.

we haven't started feeding arrow solid food. but these past few days, we've been eating the juiciest peaches and arrow's been watching and salivating. it just didn't seem fair. so, we let him suck on a peach slice in a mesh teether. he had peach juice on his cheeks, on his forehead, and all over his nose. he was licking the peach, chewing the plastic teether, and loving the whole experience!

september couldn't be more beautiful here. and like chicago, you have to take advantage of the gorgeous weather while you have it.

i've been taking arrow to the han river park a few days a week. he's been into bicycles. so we spend some time counting the bikes that go by. usually he's too preoccupied to nap outside, but on this particular day, he couldn't resist. it was perfect weather for outdoor sleeping.
40 minutes later, feeling refreshed and happy.

isaac found one last quilt made by grandma. a baby quilt. can you believe it? i was in tears when susan showed it to us, and i still get emotional when i find arrow rolling himself in it.

it's been close to two years since grandma passed. and it goes without saying that we miss her terribly.

thank you, grandma.
arrow loves his quilt. he spends a good amount of time staring at each color, at each animal. and i spend a lot of time thinking of you.

an afternoon of cooking with a group of lovely ladies.
jessica taught us how to make dolmas. we also made a pesto.

it's all about improvising, being flexible and trying new things when cooking in korea. for the dolmas, cabbage was used in place of grape leaves. and for the pesto, perilla leaves were used in place of basil. mmmmmmmmmm.
